Abilympics National Championship starts in Smolensk region

From 20 to 27 September in the Smolensk region will be held the Preparatory stage of the National championship in professional skills among the disabled and people with disabilities (HVD) “Abilimpics”. Competitions will be held in full-time distance format on the basis of several educational organizations.

“The Abilympics Championship is an effective way of finding a job,” says the First Deputy General Director of the ANO “Russia – the Land of Opportunities”
Alexey Agafonov. – But here the participants not only solve the issues of their employment and
strive for victory, they prove that people with disabilities are on an equal footing with the rest
participate in the life of society and are professionals in their field.

Abilympics is an international non-profit movement originating in Japan and
developing in the world since 1971. Currently, the international movement includes
53 countries. Since 2015, competitions have been held annually in our country, Centers
development of the Abilympics movement are open in all 85 regions of Russia.

Recall that the Abilympics championships in professional skills among the disabled and people with disabilities are part of the presidential platform “Russia is a country of opportunities”.
