A youth career guidance center has opened at the National Research University MIET

The university of the special economic zone “Technopolis Moscow” opened a career guidance center for children and youth “Project. Career”. Details were provided by Moscow Government Minister, Head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Vladislav Ovchinsky.
“Regional career guidance center for children and youth” Project. Career” opened in September on the basis of the National Research University MIET with the support of the public organization “Movement of the First”. Students in grades 5–11 can take part in the project. All events and services are free,” noted Vladislav Ovchinsky. He added that the program includes industrial field trips for students to help children identify career interests.
The center will help young people decide on their choice of profession. The project will host 1.5 thousand participants annually. The work of the Center consists of a number of areas. These include career guidance testing, individual counseling, career guidance games, thematic master classes and the “Dream Career” online course.
“NRU MIET graduates constitute the main personnel and scientific potential of domestic electronics enterprises, including companies in the Technopolis Moscow SEZ. Career guidance work will help schoolchildren build a career trajectory, focus on their interests and strengths, understand what profession to choose, determine where to go to study, and find a common language with their parents,” summed up Gennady Degtev, CEO of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ.
