A young Vologda woman took fourth place at the Asian Chess Championship

This week the ninth round of the Asian Classical Chess Championship ended in Al Ain. Boys and girls aged under 8, 10, 12 years old, as well as girls and boys aged under 14, 16 and 18 years old competed for the title of best chess players. The competition lasted for nine days.
Vologda resident Victoria Makhina stopped a step from the pedestal. The athlete is only nine years old. She placed fourth among 53 competitors under the age of 10. In the rapid chess of the Asian Championship, Victoria also took fourth position. Among the Russian women, the Vologda woman showed the best result.
