An athlete from Salekhard, Adam Khantuev, became the winner of the Russian Children’s Cup stage.

The representative of the district capital scored 7.5 out of 9 possible points and won the victory in the under 15 age category. Adam trains at the Polar Chess School of Anatoly Karpov under the mentorship of Alexander Sergeev.
“Pearl of the Caucasus – 2024” was held in Kislovodsk from February 27 to March 4, 197 young chess players from different parts of the country took part in the competition.
“Congratulations to Adam and his coach on an excellent result!” – representatives of the Department of Sports addressed the winner.
It was previously reported that youth “Torch” from Novy Urengoy beat Sosnovy Bor volleyball players.
