A young athlete from Noyabrsk took bronze at the Russian Muay Thai Championship

November resident Yuri Oleinikov became the bronze medalist of the national championship in Muay Thai – Thai boxing. This was reported on March 12 by the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
“Yuri Oleinikov competed in the 51 kg weight category among boys 16-17 years old and won third place. The athlete is training at the Olympian sports school under the guidance of coach Oleg Zinner,” the department said.
The Russian Muay Thai Championship and Championship took place from March 5 to 10 in Nizhny Novgorod. About 450 athletes from 43 regions of the country took part in the tournament.
