Yuri Oleinikov from Noyabrsk won a gold medal at the world championship in Muay Thai – Thai boxing. The head of Noyabrsk, Alexey Romanov, announced this on October 7.
“For several days, Noyabrsk and the whole of Yamal watched as our Yura Oleinikov confidently walked towards the gold medal of the world championship in Muay Thai. And now the long-awaited victory is for the November fighter. I sincerely congratulate Yura and his coach Oleg Zinner on their stunning success. Such achievements are achieved only through perseverance and a lot of daily work,” Romanov announced.
The competition took place in Turkey. The November athlete from the Olympian school represented the country in the age category of 14-15 years. Yuri Oleynikov has a second sports rank and is a member of the Russian national team.
