A weightlifter from Sakhalin won bronze at the Russian Championships

Weightlifter from Kholmsk Veronika Mazalova became the bronze medalist of the Russian championship among juniors and juniors aged 16 to 20 years. About 450 athletes from 50 regions of Russia are participating in the competitions, which take place in Maykop, the regional Ministry of Sports reported.
Sakhalina performed in the category “women, 20 years old, 59 kg” with a result of 76 kg in the snatch, 93 in the clean and jerk. Veronika Mazalova is an athlete at the regional sports training center and a student of the Kholmsk sports school (coach Arthur Nikitin).
Previously “MK on Sakhalin” wrotethat Khabarovsk hosted the All-Russian weightlifting competition in memory of the Honored Trainer of the RSFSR A.P. Koloktionov for the prizes of the Olympic champion V.S. Golovanov. The Sakhalin region was represented at the competition by ten athletes from Kholmsk and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
