A Voronezh resident became a prize-winner at the All-Russian Greco-Roman wrestling competition

All-Russian Greco-Roman wrestling competitions among juniors under 21 years old were held in Kazan, in which Voronezh athletes also participated. The tournament was dedicated to the memory of Honored Coach Myagas Sakhabutdinov.
According to the results of the competition, Voronezh resident Ruslan Mamedov rose to the second step of the podium in the 60 kg weight category. The young man won three preliminary matches ahead of schedule, and in the final he lost to Almaz Mazitov from the Moscow region, winning silver at the national tournament.
