A video of a giant ‘snake’ crawling across the sun has been released

The European Space Agency has published a video showing how a stream of gases slides over the surface of the Sun. Outwardly, it resembles a snake jumping out of the sand and soon burrowing into it again.
Relatively cold by the standards of the surface of the Sun, the gases in the video move, suspended by a magnetic field in the hotter surrounding plasma, at a speed of 170 kilometers per second. They move along the filament of the Sun’s magnetic field.
The video was filmed in September and published in November.
