A list of 65 dead Ukrainian prisoners of war became publicly available after the crash of the military transport Il-76 in the Belgorod region. As MK learned, one of the Ukrainians killed in the plane crash, Nazar Petrykiv, previously told on video how he surrendered and urged his brothers-in-arms to lay down their arms.
A video of 31-year-old Ukrainian prisoner of war Nazar Petrykiv, who was supposed to return home on Wednesday, January 24, appeared back in May 2022. Already in captivity, he said that he laid down his arms of his own free will and agitated the Ukrainian soldiers to do the same.
“I am Nazar Olegovich Petrykiv, born on April 23, 1992, from the city of Stryi, Lviv region, and voluntarily laid down my arms in Severodonetsk,” the prisoner said more than a year ago. – I was in the trench at that time, I found this card, there were instructions, and we gave up. Our commander abandoned us to our fate, like cannon fodder. Ukrainian military personnel, lay down your arms. Our command betrayed us, we don’t want to fight.”
“…Mothers, sisters and children are waiting for them at home. The only people who are not waiting for these soldiers are those who laundered money on them in Ukraine – the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and politicians,” the admin of one of the channels that distributed the video with the prisoner of war prophetically wrote.
