A Ukrainian Armed Forces drone was intercepted over the Kursk region

Near Kurchatov, where the Kursk nuclear power plant is located, air defense systems intercepted a Ukrainian drone, reported at the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“Duty air defense systems intercepted an unmanned aerial vehicle over the territory of the Kursk region in the area of the settlement of Kurchatov,” the message says.
Ukrainian drone attacks in border regions are regularly reported. October 24, regional governor Roman Starovoyt reported about a local resident injured during shelling of the village of Tetkino, Glushkovsky district. Two days earlier, Tetkino was shelled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, none of the residents were injured, and the power line was damaged.
In the Kursk region, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat remains in effect indefinitely. Since October 19, 2022, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a “medium level of response” has been established in eight regions. This level, in particular, has been established in the Krasnodar Territory, Bryansk and Belgorod regions.
