ATOR: Turkish air carrier did not allow three Russian women on a flight to Mexico
Russian tour operators recommended that tourists not use the services of Turkish airlines when flying to Mexico.
As reported by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), the cause was an incident at Istanbul airport. Three Russian tourists flying to Mexico with a transfer were not allowed to board Turkish Airlines.
“Due to a delay in the Moscow flight, the initial connection was disrupted, but they were given new boarding tickets without delay. And they were provided with a hotel. But at the time of check-in for the new flight, they were denied boarding,” ATOR explained.
Passengers were not given official documents about the cancellation of transportation, and an airline representative did not appear to see them. The association noted that tourists’ vacations were disrupted as a result.
