The author noted that despite the fact that guests are allowed to drink alcohol in the republic, local residents condemn those who do. Therefore, for example, in restaurants, wine is placed on a special table.
She also said that in Dagestan they can make comments for tattoos or short shorts.
“Drinking alcohol in a cafe is also not welcome – you will catch a lot of sidelong glances. But then why are they selling it here? Swimming in a bathing suit is possible, but also impossible,” the tourist complained.
She also did not like the mountains of garbage and the lack of organized recreation areas on the shores of the Caspian Sea. According to her, the local administration, apparently, was not ready for a large influx of tourists.
At the same time, the traveler was impressed by the responsiveness and indifference of the locals. According to her, she has never met so many people who are ready to help in a difficult situation. She also highly appreciated the local cuisine, interesting excursions and low prices.
