The Ministry of Emergency Situations evacuates pets from flooded areas of Orsk after a dam break
In Orsk, Orenburg Region, rescuers are removing pets from flooded areas that their owners did not take with them during the evacuation.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations published a video of work in the flood zone. Dogs were caught in the footage: small and large pets were carried out of flooded yards in their arms and placed in inflatable boats.
Judging by the records, many animals experienced extreme stress and were very happy when the rescuers arrived.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations did not specify why the citizens did not take their pets with them when leaving home. The department only noted that “unfortunately, not all residents can pick up their pets.”
