A ten-year-old Moscow schoolgirl was attacked with obscenities by a telephone terrorist: the police are powerless

A family from Moscow faced a monstrous phone bullying. A stranger began calling their ten-year-old daughter, and then their mother, from different numbers, first saying various obscenities about the child, and then completely threatening the baby with physical violence. Alas, the police did nothing to protect the girl: her employees did not have the technical ability to figure out the villain. “MK” learned from his father the details of this shocking story.

Father of 10-year-old Katya (name changed, – Auth.) Alexander told MK that on December 22, 2022, at eleven at night, the girl’s phone (a push-button device, the number is not in messengers, registered in the name of dad) received a call from an unknown number. The daughter turned on the speakerphone, and a male voice said: “Katya, hello! I’ve wanted to say for a long time, you twist your butt so much at school that it becomes indecent. ”

Mom grabbed the phone and asked who was calling. The man introduced himself as “the father of the son who studies with your Katya” and began to speak obscenities. He also stated that he saw the girl both at school (allegedly he has access there), and on the way to the educational institution … When asked where he got the number from, the stranger replied that he “gave the head teacher.” After the man hung up, his mother called him back in anger and forbade him “to approach his daughter and call her, otherwise it would be bad.”

But the stranger called back again – this time to the mother’s number – and again began to say various vile things about the girl.

The parents immediately contacted the police. After they called the Akademichesky district police department, the duty operative called back and said that he had spoken with the intruder. “This is some kind of inadequate type,” the employee said.

Apparently, the call of the operative did not frighten the phone terrorist at all. The next morning, the calls to the girl continued: the same person called, but from a different number. At the same time, he called the full name of the child. Later, he called the mother’s number, and began to threaten to kill their daughter. The threatening call was recorded on a voice recorder and also sent to the police.

“During the day there were numerous calls to the number of his daughter and wife, from different numbers,” Katya’s father continued the story. – An SMS was sent to my wife’s number indicating our address of residence. Then she still received calls (daughter’s phone was already disconnected by that time) – already from the third unfamiliar number … We did not answer.

The next day, December 23, we submitted an application to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Akademichesky district of Moscow. They explained the situation to an employee of the department for juvenile affairs, handed her a printout of telephone conversations and an audio recording. On the same day, we met with the director of the school and told him about what had happened. The director recommended that we accompany our daughter everywhere and not take her to school until January 9th.

“Since then, the police have been silent,” Alexander says. – From a conversation with an officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Akademichesky district of Moscow, I got the impression that there would be no investigation from the police side, and in a month (according to the police, requests to telecom operators take up to a month) they will respond with a refusal to initiate criminal case. In the department, they looked at me, to be honest, like I was an eccentric.

It seems incredible, but it turns out that in our time of technological advances in the field of communications, the Department of Internal Affairs for the Akademichesky District does not have the opportunity to quickly check the telephone numbers indicated in the statement of the victims and find out who called from them? The parents changed the daughter’s number, but this did not make the threat any less – after all, the criminals know the address of the child and the number of the school … As they say, “they will kill you, then come back?”

“MK” tried to find out this moment from the officers of the Internal Affairs Directorate for the South-West Administrative District of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Moscow, but they waved it off, sending “above”, and it was not possible to quickly get a comment.

“This can be done in real terms in half a day, without getting up from the workplace,” Alexander is indignant. – As far as I understand, the local police do not have access to databases. Although it is obvious that such access should be. You have received such an application, you immediately apply to a certain all-Russian center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which has access to the system of operational-search measures and can immediately, online, connect to this number, put it on wiretap, etc.

It immediately becomes clear from which territory the call was made, from Moscow or another region. This is a normal modern toolkit that the police should have, but for some reason they do not. All stations are technically designed in such a way that the police or the FSB can connect to them without asking for operators …

– How do you think, where did the attacker get your daughter’s phone?

– Even the child himself does not know his number, so she could not give it to anyone. This number is not written anywhere, neither on the briefcase, nor on the shift. I think that most likely this is a consequence of some kind of database leak.

– Were you able to protect your daughter from all these proceedings?

I hope she didn’t understand. Obviously, this is a mass story, in the same way, scammers allegedly from banks, etc. call. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t fight it! People should at least be warned, somehow notified. For example, posters are hung in the subway about the danger of transferring your bank card data to intruders over the phone – you need to report such cases too.

Has your daughter been going to school since January 9? Are you following her?

– Yes, he does. But we did not change her behavior pattern. She has been going to school and visiting circles since this year. It seems to me that it is psychologically more correct. Everything remains the same.
