The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Krasnoyarsk Territory reports that a teenager from the Ermakovsky district of the region is suspected of reporting the “mining” of objects in Russia over 350 times.
The message from the regional headquarters states that in the period from 2021 to 2023, a 17-year-old teenager, using IP telephony, made more than 350 deliberately false reports about the presence of dangerous objects in the buildings of educational institutions, government bodies, as well as shopping centers and transport infrastructure facilities in throughout the country.
It is noted that the attacker was identified after a report of false mining of a courthouse in the village of Shushenskoye, Krasnoyarsk Territory, in mid-December. The Ministry of Internal Affairs indicated that police officers and FSB operatives detained the teenager after this message; during the search, bank cards, a SIM card, a tablet, a laptop and a cell phone were found on him.
According to the version of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the teenager accepted orders from third parties through a messenger for money, after which, using a voice substitution program, he called different institutions. Criminal cases have been initiated against the attacker, who was placed in custody, under parts 2 and 3 of Article 207 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“knowingly false report of an act of terrorism”).
