A teenager from Chita took silver and bronze in karting competitions

A fourteen-year-old athlete from Chita, Evgeny Nemirovich, took second, third and fourth places in the karting competition, which took place from April 28 to 30 in the village of Shushenskoye, Krasnoyarsk Territory. On May 4, the correspondent of MK in Chita was informed by coach Eldar Yakimov.
Evgeny Nemirovich won second place in the National 4T class and third place in the KF class in the multi-stage tournament in memory of V. N. Petrov, and also took fourth place in the Rotax-Max class in the Siberia Cup competition.
“Next week we will go to the city of Gorno-Altaisk, another championship will be held there, but with the same name “Cup of Siberia”. We also plan to skate the Kuzbass Cup in the Kemerovo region and competitions in Chita, ”explained Eldar Yakimov.
According to the coach, the young man started karting at the age of 8. He, like his eight rivals, showed themselves worthy at the last competitions. However, further Evgeny will have to compete with a large number of participants from the Kemerovo, Novosibirsk regions and the Krasnoyarsk Territory on modified maps.
“In Chita, they drive standard motors that you can buy in a store, you can’t install and modify it. In Kemerovo, in Altai, the approach is different – the engine can be modified for the convenience of the pilot, now I am preparing equipment for Evgeny. The first stage of the upcoming cup will be a test for us in this regard, the main task will be to find all the weak points and eliminate them,” added Eldar Yakimov.
He clarified that karting is an expensive sport that organizers of sporting events are trying to make more accessible. Most often, athletes have to spend on sets of wheels that are erased in 40 minutes – this is one competition.
Recall that in Chita, judo coaches from the Slava sports and patriotic club and coaches from the Voyage sports club will finish conversion of a former pub into a gym for activities with children and teenagers.
