A suspect in the murder of a Muscovite's wife was extradited from Turkey

Igor Molchanov, accused of murdering his wife in her Moscow apartment and possessing mephedrone, was handed over by Turkey to Russian law enforcement agencies. This was reported by the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Irina Volk.

“… last December, the defendant committed the murder of his wife in her Moscow apartment. In addition, he illegally acquired and stored… mephedrone,” Volk said.

The suspect fled the country and was put on the international wanted list. Through Interpol, Russia received information from the Turkish side about the arrest of Molchanov in Istanbul for threatening to kill. There he confessed to a serious crime in the Russian Federation.

The defendant was handed over to Russian law enforcement officers.
