In Russian mini-football, the first stages of the Russian Cup have come to an end, where amateur clubs and teams representing the Major League fought for advancement in the tournament bracket.
The players of the Arkhangelsk “Vodnik” managed to reach the 1/8 finals, who last season stopped at the group stage due to a defeat from “Football-Hockey NN”. This year, Vodnik was able to reach the playoffs, which means the arrival of a Super League club, namely Norilsk Nickel, to Arkhangelsk.
A big contribution to the success of “Vodnik” was made by a student of Nizhny Novgorod mini-football – Alexandra Zakharov, who played for “Norman” and “Football-Hockey NN”.
The matches of the 1/8 finals of the Russian Cup are scheduled for November 4 and 5
