A student from Essentuki is among the strongest weightlifters in the Stavropol region

A student from Essentuki took part in the Open Cup in weightlifting in Solnechnodolsk, reports the press service of the city mayor’s office.
The competition was dedicated to the memory of the first President of the Stavropol Weightlifting Federation, Alexander Korobeinikov.
The fifth Cup brought together several dozen weightlifters from all over the region. Essentu resident Daria Chernova studies at the Faculty of Adaptive Physical Education at the Pedagogical Institute of the Resort and is involved in weightlifting.
At the last competition, the future teacher lifted a weight of 145 kg, which is more than twice her own. In the double event, Daria took second place and became the silver medalist of the Stavropol Region Cup.
It was previously reported that the Stavropol resident took silver at the cycling competition.
