A student from a branch of one of the universities in Essentuki became the absolute champion in classical triathlon in open powerlifting competitions.
In the village of Kurskaya, competitions in classic powerlifting and bench press among young men were held, dedicated to the memory of Nikita Savchenko and Ruslan Akhmedzhanov. As the press service of the resort city administration reported, 67 athletes from 11 sports clubs in the region took part in the competition.
“In a bitter struggle, a student from the resort city, Alexander Kharchenko, took 1st place in the 105 kg weight category and became the absolute champion in classical triathlon with an IPF GL system score of 72.73 points,” the mayor’s office added. – At the competition, the Essentuki champion fulfilled the “Candidate Master of Sports” standard.
