American Airlines steward Estes Carter Thompson III taped a phone under the toilet seat on an airplane in order to film young girls. He was arrested for attempting to film a 14-year-old girl while using a common area. This is reported by DailyStar.
The man was charged with attempted sexual exploitation of children and one count of possession of child pornography depicting minors.
The phone was spotted by a girl who was flying from Charlotte to Boston on September 2 last year.
Records of seven-, nine-, eleven- and fourteen-year-old girls were found on the device.
The phone finder and her family are suing the airline because they believe American Airlines should have been aware that their employee was a danger to passengers.
The steward now faces up to 30 years in prison.
