The Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, Mikhail Degtyarev, ordered the introduction of an emergency mode in the region in connection with forest fires, he announced this in his Telegram channel. According to him, the cause of almost all fires was the human factor.
Warm weather has settled in most of the territory of the region, there are eight natural fires. The outbreaks are located in the Amur, Verkhnebureinsky, Polina Osipenko, Sovetsko-Gavansky, Solnechny and Ulchsky districts. “Experts say that almost all of them were caused by the human factor. We need to attract the maximum amount of resources to extinguish fires as soon as possible,” the head of the region noted.
As of Monday evening, almost 300 forest protection officers are taking part in the extinguishing, 69 units of equipment are involved.
