A state of emergency has been introduced in eight districts of the Yaroslavl region due to a power outage
Governor of the Yaroslavl region Mikhail Evraev reported in his Telegram channel about the introduction of a state of emergency in a number of areas of the region due to failures in the supply of electricity.
According to Evraev, he had to urgently return to the Yaroslavl region from Moscow, where he was preparing for a meeting of the State Council with the participation of Vladimir Putin.
“Due to weather conditions in the region, a critical situation has arisen with the supply of electricity… A state of emergency has been introduced in eight districts of the region. We are carrying out restoration work around the clock,” the head of the region wrote.
According to him, 148 teams and 161 units of special equipment are involved in the work. Employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations also provide assistance.
“Water delivery has been organized to de-energized settlements. Temporary accommodation points are operating. The task is to eliminate the consequences of the disaster in all settlements as quickly as possible,” Evraev added.
