Andrey Zamkovoy, an athlete from Naro-Fominsk near Moscow, became the first eight-time champion of Russia in the history of boxing. It is reported by “MK Sport”.
On the eve of the national championship in Khabarovsk, Zamkovoy defeated Ivan Stupin in the final in the weight up to 71 kg.
The boxer is 36 years old, he is the owner of two bronze medals of the Olympic Games (2012, 2020). Andrey Zamkovoi – world champion (2019) and silver medalist of the world tournament (2009).
It is noted that the prize fund of the All-Russian boxing tournament in Khabarovsk amounted to 26 million rubles. The champions were awarded 1.5 million rubles each.
