A special group has been created that will deal with the integration of Nagorno-Karabakh into Azerbaijan, said Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan – Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev in an interview with Politico.
He noted that the group will address “comprehensive issues” – humanitarian, economic and social issues. According to him, it is planned to integrate tens of thousands of ethnic Armenians into Azerbaijan.
Hajiyev also said that Baku provided humanitarian aid to Armenians in need, which “once again demonstrates the good intentions and seriousness of the Azerbaijani government.” According to him, Baku intends to “ensure a safe and dignified reintegration process.”
An aide to the Azerbaijani president said Nagorno-Karabakh “was a powder keg and the most militarized zone in the world.” At the same time, according to him, in the new conditions the possibility of establishing peace between Yerevan and Baku is much higher.
