The Russian championship in Thai boxing (Muay Thai) ended in Nizhny Novgorod. More than 450 athletes from 40 regions of the country took part in it. A representative from Sochi was among the winners.
By information press service of the administration of the Krasnodar region, Sofia Istratova performed in the 45 kg weight category at the age of “over 18 years”. She left no chance to her rivals and won the gold medal.
Based on the results of the championship, the Russian national team was formed, which will take part in the World Muay Thai Championship. It will take place in June in Athens (0+).
