According to the data disseminated by the federal sports media, a legionnaire may appear in the Yaroslavl Lokomotiv. All “legs” disappeared from Yaroslavl and almost all from the KHL in the spring of 2022. Mostly for political reasons. But material considerations turned out to be stronger than political principles. In Yaroslavl, there may soon be an “addition” in the number of defenders. The club is negotiating with Martin Gernat, a graduate of the Slovak hockey school.
Gernat was selected in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers. But he played most of the matches in the AHL, as well as in the Czech and Swiss leagues.
This is a successful hockey player. He is a member of the Slovakian national team, a bronze medalist at the 2022 Olympic Games.
The height of a possible beginner is 196 cm, weight 86, stick grip is left.
