The Architectural Council of the city of Moscow approved the project of a skyscraper in Moscow City near the Bagration bridge. This was announced by the chief architect of the capital Sergey Kuznetsov. The maximum height of the building is 400 m. It is expected that this will be the tallest building in Moscow.
According to Mr. Kuznetsov, the opinion of the audit committee on the inefficiency of the two-story exit from the Bagration bridge led to the creation of the project, so it was proposed to build a high-rise building in its place.
According to the project, the total area of the building will be 196 thousand square meters. m, height – just below 400 m. The 80-storey tower is planned to accommodate a multifunctional complex with retail facilities, offices, fitness centers, cafes. It is planned to hand over the object in 2030. Its construction will be carried out by Hals-Development LLC, which is controlled by VTB.
The name of the tower is under development, but the working naming of the building is “Palette”. At the meeting of the Architectural Council, according to Interfax, the project was presented as a business center “Bagration Bridge”.
“The tower, almost 400 meters high, has a dynamic and complex development, in this regard, the tradition of Moscow skyscrapers can be traced, where a massive multi-stage volume thins towards the top and opens up differently from each point. This is a tower-city evolving upwards,” said architect Sergey Tchoban, head of the Spich bureau, who was involved in the development of the project.
The capital’s business center “Moscow-City” is a kind of quarter of 20 skyscrapers. Construction work on the buildings began in 1998. A total of 23 facilities are planned to be built. Currently, the tallest building in Moscow is the Federation Tower, located in Moscow City: its height is 374 m.
