Tyumen is hosting the Ural Federal District cross-country skiing championship. The Arctic region was represented and won by an athlete from the city of Seven Larch Ivan Bezmaternykh. This was reported on January 26 in the press service of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the YNAO.
In total, 182 athletes from six subjects of the federal district entered the competition. Ivan Bezmaternykh was confidently leading throughout the course in the classic sprint and became the first, overtaking more than 80 rivals.
Severyanin is a graduate of the Labytnangsky sports school of the Olympic reserve named after Akhatova, he trains under the guidance of Aidar Sufiakhmetov and Anzhelika Bezmaternykh.
January 28 Ivan will compete in the relay.
Recall that the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug is preparing for the second All-Russian Arctic Games. It is planned that almost 800 athletes from different parts of the Russian Federation will gather in the region.
