A ski race in memory of Fyodor Vasilyevich Davydov was held in the Bolkhovsky district. The event was organized at the Krivtsovsky memorial complex and was already the eleventh in a row. The press service of the regional government reported this.
University students, students of secondary vocational institutions, representatives of municipal districts and urban districts of the Oryol region, as well as non-profit public associations took part in the race. 10 teams, each of two girls and three boys, took part in the 8-kilometer distance. Another 14 people competed in the individual competition.
The event was held by the Interregional Association “Koster” with the support of the Department of Youth Policy and Implementation of Patriotic Projects of the Oryol Region and the NOVOTRANS – 5P charitable foundation. The Chairman of the Foundation, the grandson of the legendary skier and intelligence officer Fyodor Davydov, Konstantin Davydov, personally greeted the participants.
The winners and runners-up of the competition were awarded cups and certificates as a sign of respect and recognition of their sporting achievements, preserving the memory and traditions of the spirit of strong and inspiring individuals.
These competitions not only contribute to the development of sports culture, but also preserve the memory of outstanding personalities, inspiring new generations to sporting achievements.
