A bright skiing festival took place in Pushchino on the FIAN track. The city’s open cross-country skiing championship brought together more than 100 young athletes aged 10 to 17 at the start.
At first the slope was very slippery due to the thaw, and the organizers decided to abandon the mass start to ensure safety. Participants covered the distance one at a time, competing for the best time.
On the podium, awards were presented to the best athletes – certificates, medals and sweet gifts. The well-deserved prizes were presented by Maria Davydenkov, a famous Russian skier, international master of sports, who is a student of Pushchino coaches Alexei and Tamara Sheshelev.
It is important to note that such competitions contribute to the development of sports skills among young people and the popularization of skiing in the region. The participation of professional athletes in the awards also inspires young skiers to great achievements in the sport.
Thanks to the “Bright City” program, the ski slope in Pushchino can be used around the clock. There are 130 lights installed along the two-kilometer stretch, making it safe to use at any time of the day.
Residents of the city are actively involved here, as well as young athletes who find excellent training opportunities on the track.
