A shot at spiritual values: what legislators are doing to prevent maniacs

For most people, the question always remains unanswered: where do people come from seemingly prosperous families, educated, outwardly like everyone else, but who suddenly calmly shoot their recent friends.

Psychology, which became fashionable about a hundred years ago, always undertakes to find the material causes of the immorality of a person who has become capable of villainy. Now in Russia, imitating Europe and America, starting from school, they are trying to introduce full-time psychologists into the environment of people, who should “secretly” observe individuals and determine their propensities for behavior and issue some recommendations for correcting their behavior. To whom should they be addressed? Well, parents should be informed about children, but who about adults?

There are full-time and freelance spies under any government. In the science of operational-search activity, this is called operational information. I had to receive it for the last 22 years of service in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Believe me: 95% of what it contains is idle reflections of the “source”, sucked from the finger. From psychologists and their science of psychology again, believe me, there is very little sense.

The famous philosopher H. Arendt half a century ago tried to find an answer about the life of the mind among “bad people”, unscrupulous, using the example of the trial of the Nazi Eichmann. She searched in the mind, in the mind, but initially stipulated the result of the search: “It would be wrong to try to establish a hierarchical order among the types of mental activity.” If she had studied the Gospel more deeply, then her result would have turned out closer to reality. One could start with N.V. Gogol: “Mind is not the highest ability in us. His position is no more than a police one: he can only put in order and put in place everything that we already have. He himself will not move forward until all other abilities move in us, from which he grows wiser … He is incomparably more dependent on spiritual states … He who already has both mind and reason can only receive wisdom, as by praying for it day and night, asking God for it day and night, elevating your soul to deep gentleness.

Anyone will say that everything from Gogol and similar unconditional talents is right. But almost everyone will agree that it is very important to cultivate gentleness in the family, at school, in the gymnasium, and so on. Pay attention to the key words in the text from Gogol: “state of mind” and wisdom “begged from God” through prayer.

“Mental state” is not originally a medical indicator. Let’s pay attention to the fact that all modern “shooters” turned out to be legally sane. Who read a lot from the history of Russia, he will not remember that in Russian families from peasant to noble, one of the children took an ax and hacked to death an angry dad, who mercilessly tore him with rods for disobedience. No matter how poor it is, but they went to church and knew the commandment “Thou shalt not kill”, and this was what was already in the mind and mind. In noble families, cold or firearms hung on the walls, but did any of the children try to use them for reprisals? Religious dogma, learned from childhood, is the first and last brake on evil deeds. The tendency to kill as a means of restoring some kind of justice appeared along with the denial of the power of God and the triumph of the deification of materialism and some other so-called. social justice, which in the communist ideology was embodied in the slogan “rob the loot”.

Again the eternal, almost rhetorical question: what to do? A state (especially a secular one) can only offer an enhanced system of legislative measures to limit the circulation of weapons and control their owners. This can and should have some effect. You read and wonder how easily teenage shooters legally acquired weapons and ammunition in stores, how their parents did not notice their increased interest in owning weapons, and how indifferent were those law enforcement agencies that should be concerned with preventing possible aggressive actions of future shooters. And those in social networks did not hesitate to write about their intentions to avenge disrespect for them as individuals, their teachers, classmates and the whole world in general. Where were the ubiquitous full-time psychologists when it was already about mental anomalies?

There is an educative and preventive, centuries-old proven phenomenon of instilling anti-aggression in a person – a spiritual and moral one, which modern science of psychology scornfully dismisses (read their textbooks for higher and secondary educational institutions). Under our Constitution, which preserves the Godlessness of a secular state (Article 14 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation), the teaching of the law of God in schools, as it was in the Russian Empire, is unlikely to be legally introduced. My youngest son in the 5th grade was taught a short course on world religions, and even had a thin textbook, but this is nothing more than a reference from the Internet.

Now we see how much since 1991 not only our former brothers in Christ Ukrainians have become rabid, but also the so-called. “collective West”. 73 years of atheistic Soviet power were not in vain for the once Orthodox Ukraine. Let’s add another 30 years of education in the youth of the cult of mercantile Protestantism, and these are two generations infected with a thirst for money and contempt for spiritual values.

Church, politicians and some political scientists sounded the alarm. Our president is a sufficiently church-going person, but it is impossible to force people to become orthodox Christians, Muslims and Jews overnight. Therefore, the obvious extremes that come from the “civilized” West, such as gender equality, gender reassignment, same-sex marriage, etc. are subject not only to a legislative ban, but must also entail severe punishment up to criminal.

And yet, for the protection of spiritual values, the state power has only one beaten path – the legislative one, and the authorities have chosen this path. In addition to Federal Law No. 172 “On Strategic Planning in the Russian Federation”, which is useless for spiritual and moral education, the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of November 9, 2022 “On Approving the Fundamentals of State Policy for the Preservation and Strengthening of Traditional Russian Spiritual and Moral Values” appeared on its basis. It is an attempt to separate the spiritual values ​​of the Western liberal-democratic world from the absolute, eternal and unshakable spiritual values ​​traditional for the peoples of Russia. In paragraph 5 of the decree, these values ​​are listed, and among them in third place are human rights and freedoms. This “value” from the liberal-democratic “Declaration of the Rights and Freedoms of Man” from the time of the French Revolution of the distant eighteenth century, which Russian legal scholars called “a dangerous fiction” (see L.A. Tikhomirov, I.A. Ilyin and others. ). It is in all European constitutions, including ours (Article 2). Rights here are only of a juridical-declarative nature, as well as freedoms, devoid of any spiritual content, which is unconventional for Christian Russia, where the content of the right is a moral duty. From this follow other traditional values ​​from paragraph 5 of the decree: patriotism, citizenship, service, mercy. This is understood by our fighters in the NWO and in the rear. True, not all of them are in the rear, since further in paragraph 5 the “ideal of communism”, “creative labor” and liberal “humanism” appear. If religious spiritual values ​​are indeed historically traditional for the peoples of Russia (and this is paragraph 6 of the decree), then “humanism” in its predominant form claims that human nature is not the image and likeness of divine nature, but world nature … and all diseases and defects from of this nature are embedded in natural existence … There was a “self-affirmation of man without God” (see N.A. Berdyaev in his “Philosophy of Inequality”).

Here, the lawyers preparing the decree should have chosen terms and concepts more correctly in order to ensure the coming victory: “priority of the spiritual over the material” (paragraph 5 of the decree). However, the composition of the Main State Legal Department of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation has long been known: they are good lawyers, but they are definitely not lawyers and are far from even the basics of moral philosophy, otherwise how could they do the impossible, write in a decree: “include the Orthodox Church in the institutions of civil society “(Clause 26 “e” of the decree). It is obvious that the Patriarchate did not see the draft of this decree.

Once again to them, the legislators: “Civil society is a laboratory product of Western civilization. And civilization destroys the cultural layer of the people of any country with the concept of mass ”(O. Spengler,“ Decline of the Western World ”, 1918). The well-known German theologian K. Barth concluded a hundred years ago: “The civil community as such is spiritually blind and “ignorant”. She has no faith, no love, no hope.” So how will spiritual values ​​take root and flourish in it? Well, you can force its members to comply with them, but you need to know that “a forced action loses all moral character” (this is from the famous Russian philosopher of law B.N. Chicherin). The Church has never forced anyone (the Inquisition is a Western story). Therefore, in paragraph 10, among the state bodies called upon to implement the tasks of the decree, the church is not named, and religious organizations will only be “involved” in the implementation of state policy to preserve and strengthen traditional values ​​(paragraph 25 “e”). About attraction would be more detailed, but this clarity is not yet available. If you like, it is necessary to recreate the supreme spiritual council, which was in the early 90s under the President of the Russian Federation. The body is non-state, but it will involve the secular authorities in the work on the “positive scenario” (paragraph 21 of the decree), if this is not just another liberal-democratic performance.
