A tournament of precision shooting masters will be held in Yakutsk, which was discussed at a meeting on the work of the precision shooting center. The high-precision shooting center in Yakutsk was launched on behalf of the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev in December 2022 as one of the elements of the system of military sports training and patriotic education of youth in the Far East and other regions.
The precision shooting competition is planned to be dedicated to the memory of the Hero of the Soviet Union and the great sniper Fyodor Matveyevich Okhlopkov, who became a legend during his lifetime and confirmed the defeat of more than 400 targets. The precision shooting center in Yakutsk will work with schoolchildren, civilians, law enforcement officers and specialized organizations to teach safe weapon handling techniques and shooting skills at various distances.
