A series of lectures for coaches of regional teams has started in Murmansk

This week, a series of lectures on planning and conducting training for national teams of various sports began in the capital of the Murmansk region. They are listened to by regional trainers and methodological instructors, the government clarified.
Classes are implemented within the framework of a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Sports of the Kola Arctic Region, the Innovation Center of the Russian Olympic Committee and the Olympic Council of the Murmansk Region. Let us recall that the document was signed in 2022 during the “Russia – a Sports Power” forum.
The northerners are mentored by the Honored Master of Sports of the USSR and Russia Alexander Grushin. During his career, he trained 15 Olympic champions and 24 world champions, was recognized three times as the country’s best coach in winter sports and was awarded the Orders of Honor, Friendship of Peoples, Friendship and “For Personal Courage”.
In addition, lectures for polar trainers are given by Alexander Vavaev, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, as well as Doctor of Medical Sciences and Candidate of Biological Sciences, Professor Evgeniy Boyko.
Listeners examine the features of functional testing and the energy supply system for physical work, discuss the seasonal dynamics of physiological functions in those who play sports in the Far North.
It is clarified that a master class will be organized on estimating caloric intake and consumption of basic macronutrients.
At the end, participants will be awarded state-issued certificates of completion of advanced training courses.
