Doctors in Kemerovo saved a woman who lived for 8 years with a foreign object in her nose
Representatives of the press service of the Kuzbass Emergency Hospital named after Podgorbunsky, in a publication on their Telegram channel, said that the doctors of the medical institution operated on a local resident who had been suffering from a foreign object in her nose for eight years.
It is noted that the woman turned to doctors with complaints about chronic rhinitis that had been bothering her since 2015. Doctors performed a CT scan on the patient, which showed that a filling material was stuck in her paranasal sinuses. The press service indicated that the patient then remembered that rhinitis began after visiting the dentist.
Doctors at the Kuzbass hospital operated on the woman and removed a foreign object that could have become a source of infection. As noted in the press service, during the operation the patient’s natural sinus anastomosis was expanded, a foreign body was removed, and a fungal colony and hypertrophied part of the mucosa were removed.
