According to the channel, a 48-year-old man got drunk and attacked a man with a gun. A criminal case was opened for illegal possession of weapons, causing minor harm to health and hooliganism. Previously, the man was charged with robbery, and he was also caught by the police with drugs.
The man cooperated with the investigation and admitted guilt. As a result, the court found him guilty, but in its verdict emphasized a number of mitigating circumstances.
“As mitigating circumstances, the court takes into account full admission of guilt, repentance, <...> the defendant’s health condition, the presence of a cat,” says the court decision, as cited by the Telegram channel.
The convict said that he did not know why the court considered the cat a mitigating circumstance, but admitted that he was very happy with this decision.
