Aleksey Kurepov, a student of the Faculty of Chemistry at Samara University named after Korolev, was able to develop a mobile complex that allows almost 10 times to increase the accuracy of detecting signs of arson. About it TASS reported in the press service of the university.
“A student at Samara University named after Korolev has developed a mobile analytical complex for the structures of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, which makes it possible to increase the accuracy of detecting signs of arson by about 10 times when investigating the causes of a fire,” the report says.
They also added that the new development could be useful to developers and environmentalists. With this device, it will be possible to check the soil for the presence of harmful substances, planning the development of former industrial areas. It is noted that the project has already passed preliminary testing on the basis of the Fire Testing Laboratory in the Samara Region.
The student’s invention is a plastic case that weighs about 10 kg. With it, you can conduct an analysis immediately at the scene of a fire due to its mobility and accuracy.
