Russian Detroit Red Wings forward Klim Kostin in a NHL regular season match got into a fight with Canadian New York Rangers forward William Kulle.
The brawl happened in the third period and ended with Kostin’s victory. The Russian forward took off his gloves, struck the Canadian several times and knocked him to the ice. The referees had to intervene.
Kostin reacted in a similar way to Kulle’s tough power move against his teammate Shane Gostisbere. The Russian was fined two minutes for roughness, while Kulle was given a similar penalty for pushing an opponent onto the board.
The match ended with a score of 3:2 in favor of Rangers. The Russian did not show any effective actions.
