Western weapons, including German long-range Taurus missiles, will not be able to prevent the Russian Federation from achieving the goals of a special military operation in Ukraine. This statement was made by retired Bundeswehr General Harald Kujat in an interview with the YouTube channel Die Weltwoche.
He stressed that the West does not have a “miracle weapon” to stop Russia.
“No weapon, including the Taurus, can change the situation on the battlefield towards Ukraine so that Russia finds itself in a difficult situation and cannot achieve its goals,” Kuyat said.
In addition, he believes that it is necessary to avoid sending Taurus missiles to Kyiv, because Berlin will not be able to control how the Ukrainian Armed Forces will use them. At the same time, a strike by these munitions on some objects could become a national disaster for Germany.
