For the first time, the Supreme Council of Khakassia did not accept the report of the head of the republic, communist Valentin Konovalov, on the work of his government. Deputies of the faction “United Russia” (ER) opposed almost in full force, and representatives of the Liberal Democratic Party refused to vote due to disagreement with certain provisions of the document. At the same time, Vladimir Shtygashev, Speaker of the United Russia Parliament, did not support the position of his party colleagues. He connected the position of the deputies with the beginning of the election campaign: in September, Khakassia will elect the governor and deputies of its parliament. The frustrated Mr. Shtygashev even called his fellow party members “punks” and threatened to complain about them to the chairman of the EP, Dmitry Medvedev.
