A resident of Uglegorsk, Lyudmila Anikeeva, who threw a shoe at the mayor, received an apartment, as reported by RIA Novosti.
This week, a video was published on social networks covering the meeting of the Governor of the Sakhalin Region Valery Limarenko with the population of the village of Shakhtersk, Uglegorsk district. The video footage showed how a woman first demonstrates a boot that was covered with mold from dampness in the house, after which she throws it at the mayor of the Uglegorsk district, Dmitry Tsukanov. Later, the police took the woman out of the event, while Limarenko himself recommended that she contact the prosecutor’s office.
Anikeeva said that the administrative case on violation of public order against her was dismissed. Later, the vice-mayor of Uglegorsk told her about the allocation of a two-room apartment in the center of the village.
“We are absolutely satisfied with the new housing,” Anikeeva said, noting that consideration of her problem had been dragging on since 2019.
