A resident of the Tver region gouged out the eyes of a stray dog

The Tver Region Prosecutor’s Office reported on its website that a case against a 20-year-old resident of the region has been brought to court under the article “cruelty to an animal for the purpose of causing pain and suffering, using sadistic methods, resulting in its death.” The young man will appear in court soon.
The case file states that the accused decided to play with a stray dog in the village of Korobanovo last December. During the game, the animal lightly grabbed the young man’s hand with its mouth, but without causing a bite. However, the guy became so furious that he kicked the dog, then pressed it to the ground with his knees, pulled out a knife and gouged out its eyes. The animal died in agony a short time later.
The case of the Tver sadist will be considered by the Zapadnodvinsk Interdistrict Court.
