At night, the attacker opened and towed a parked Soviet car with a friend in order to disassemble it for parts and repair his car. The guy was detained by the police. This was reported by the head of the press service of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Tatyana Petrova.

As the department notes, the incident occurred in Lobnya on Depovskaya Street. A resident of Mytishchi noticed a parked domestic car. At night he returned to the car and opened the door with a screwdriver, but he was unable to start the engine. Then he told his friend that he had bought a car and asked him to help tow the vehicle to his garage.

“During a search of the detainee’s garage, the applicant’s partially disassembled car was discovered and seized. The reason for the theft of the car was the desire to repair his own vehicle of a similar brand,” Petrova said.

A criminal case was opened against the young man for theft (Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). He is under recognizance not to leave the place.
