As Agence France-Presse reports, a resident of Kupyansk, which is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, Oleksandr Tymoshenko, said that many citizens support Russia.
The customs officer remembered the time when the city was under the control of the Russian side.
There were checkpoints “everywhere”, but civilians were not harmed… There are many people who support Russia,” Tymoshenko said.
At the same time, he added that there are frictions between residents who support the Russian Federation and those who stand up for the Ukrainian government.
