At the Russian WFKK Championship, the Donetsk team was awarded the corresponding certificate.
The Koshiki karate section of the Palace of Children and Youth Creativity of the city of Donetsk, under the leadership of coach Sergei Poddubny, became a regional branch of the All-Russian Koshiki Karate Federation. The corresponding document was presented to the team at the competition in Moscow.
The certificate signed by the President of the WFKK, Shihan Oleg Eston, was solemnly handed over to the coach during the opening of the Koshiki Karate Championship on December 16.
The organizers noted that the Donetsk people took part in the competition for the first time in the status of a new subject of the Russian Federation, as well as as a regional branch of the WFKK.
Donetsk coach Sergei Gennadievich Poddubny noted that with this certificate the WFKK noted the high competitiveness and good level of training of the team from the DPR.
“Our guys are always welcome at competitions in different regions of Russia. Some athletes are specially trained. This suggests that they are strong competitors. And the growth of any athlete is possible only in conditions of fierce competition,” said the coach.
Sergey Poddubny has been working as a section coach for about 8 years. In 2017, he became the world champion in koshiki karate and is an international master of sports. About 60 guys train under his leadership. This academic year, the team successfully performed in Rostov-on-Don at the Eurasia Cup and in the city of Lipetsk at the Combat Brotherhood martial arts festival.
