On October 8, the city weather station of St. Petersburg noted the presence of snow cover less than 0.5 cm high, covering more than half of the territory, said leading specialist of the Phobos Weather Center Mikhail Leus.
According to the weather forecaster, this amount of snow can be considered a temporary snow cover in St. Petersburg. This phenomenon turned out to be the most vulnerable since the beginning of the 21st century.
The average date for the appearance of snow cover in St. Petersburg is November 1.
