A mass race dedicated to the Day of Solidarity in the Fight against Terrorism gathered athletes from all over Russia in Pyatigorsk, the press service of the city administration reports.
800 athletes waited for several distances depending on the level of training and age. For beginner athletes there was a distance of 3.5 km. For the youngest participants from 3 to 10 years old there was a 500 meters race. Fans of Nordic walking also competed at a distance of 3.5 km. The main distance of 9 km was for experienced runners around Mount Mashuk.
The traditional sports event has become a celebration of sports and health. All finishers received exclusive medals.
