A quarter of Russian companies use artificial intelligence – Kommersant

As of November 2023, artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are used by about a quarter of Russian companies. Half of companies use AI daily. This is evidenced by research data from Avito Rabota and Tochka Bank.

Avito Rabota and Tochka Bank surveyed 10 thousand representatives of companies from 19 sectors, including transport, insurance, art, tourism, telecommunications, and security business. At the same time, 24% of respondents reported that they are already using AI. Of these, almost half (49%) said they use AI on a daily basis. Almost a third (30%) of respondents use it 2-4 times a week.

AI is used daily in the transport and logistics industries (67%), in the hotel and restaurant business (59%), in banking (58%), trade (56%) and medicine (55%). Typically, AI systems help with customer service (37%), analytics collection (36%), process planning (33%), calculations (32%), query processing (32%) and writing texts (31%).

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko saidthat the use of AI by companies will become a prerequisite for receiving subsidies from the budget. Next year, in 2024, this approach will be tested for companies whose revenue is more than 800 million rubles.

According to government forecasts, the introduction of AI technologies will bring GDP 11.3 trillion rubles by 2030. additionally.
