A psychologist analyzed the diary of a girl shooter, which the investigation considers authentic

“This girl had no time for boys”

The lawyer for the killer girl’s father, Dmitry, said on Sunday that the investigation refers to Alina’s diary, partially published on the Internet. The authenticity of this diary has not been confirmed, but apparently the Investigative Committee has reason to consider it real. We showed the eighth-grader’s notes to forensic psychiatrist Sergei Torubarov.

– We see two whole stages of Alina’s hatching a plan designed to put an end to what tormented her. She saw no other way out. From the girl’s notes it follows that she initially planned the massacre on the first day of the school year, and the implementation of the plan was prevented by purely technical difficulties – her father took a gun from the house. At the end of August, before the start of the school year, Alina writes that for the first time she is glad that the holidays will soon end, as she has prepared a “surprise” for her tormentors. These same August days, an eighth-grader gets annoyed with her twin sister, with whom she studies in the same class, and with her friends. And then he adds: “The only thing that calms me down is that I’ll shoot her soon.”

The emergence of such a plan calms the teenager: he stops suffering, feeling his secret strength, his self-esteem increases, even if in reality everything remains the same. But when her plan fails, she feels a decline in determination and even doubt, this can be felt from the entry dated September 1. The adrenaline rush from your own decision is not endless, its “invigorating” effect is comparable to a psychoactive substance entering the body from the outside: euphoria gradually gives way to fatigue, if you don’t “add more fire.” And Alina patiently begins to twist herself up anew.

– Are there any other discoveries about Alina based on her diaries?

– At first I assumed that there might be some kind of romantic line hidden in the story about bullying, yet we have the first girl who took aim at her peers. But from Alina’s diary it is clear: this girl had no time for boys, she was tormented not by them, but by ambitions and painful pride, even vanity. To one degree or another, it is inherent in all teenagers, but Alina also has a heightened perception of recognition of her authority by her peers. This is an ambitious girl who is not ready to be in the shadows.

Alina is an ambitious person, responsible for her, so to speak, missions. Another question is what missions she assigned herself. She would have made a good athlete, it is clear that she is not used to giving up: once the height is set, she must take it. It’s a pity that the girl Alina embodied all these qualities she needed in life, not for her own good, but for the long-term grief of her family and many other people.
